Oriental-syle Dipping Sauce
The perfect complement for everything from oriental meat and vegetable dishes to crepes to raw vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup light soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon ThickenThin not/Starch thickener
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 inch cube fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce, optional

Sweetener equivalent to 1 teaspoon sugar, or to taste
Directions
Makes 1 cup.
1. In a 2-quart saucepan combine soy sauce and water. Whisk in ThickenThin not/Starch thickener.
2. Add remaining ingredients and place over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower heat and cook for 30 seconds more.
3. Cool and use as a dip for crepes or vegetables.
