Pecan-Crusted Tilapia
This recipe was created for Expert Foods by Chef J. Warren. The fish can be pan-fried or baked, and the remaining pecan 'breading' can be kept in the freezer until you make the dish again.
Ingredients
Breading
- 1 pound finely ground pecans
- onion powder, to taste
- salt, to taste
- pepper, or lemon pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons ThickenThin not/Cereal thickener
Directions
If baking, preheat oven to 400°F and cover a baking pan with foil.
1. Place all ingredients except for the tilapia in a large zip-lock bag.
2. Wet the tilapia fillets in a little water, place in the bag with the other ingredients and coat fish.
3. Bake approximately 10 minutes until fish flakes - or pan fry.
Serve with a squeeze of lemon and a piece of parsley.
