Basic Salad Dressing

ThickenThin not/Starch thickener takes the fussiness out of preparing salad dressings. That's because it's an excellent emulsifier, so you can combine all the ingredients at once. In addition, it helps the dressing cling to the salad. Try our delicious recipe, or use it to improve almost any other dressing recipes.

 

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vegetable or olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ThickenThin not/Starch thickener
  • Sweetener equivalent to 2 teaspoons sugar or to taste
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 clove garlic

     

Directions

Makes 1 cup dressing.

1. Combine all ingredients in blender container. Process until smooth - some flecks of basil will remain.

2. Store in refrigerator until needed.
