Spiced Cider
This recipe is delicious hot or cold, and the hot cider is particularly appealing when served with a cinnamon stick.
Ingredients
- 4 cups hot brewed tea
- 1 tablespoon ThickenThin not/Sugar thickener
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon or 2-inch piece cinnamon stick
- 1/4 teaspoon powdered cloves or 2 whole cloves
- 1 1/2-tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Sweetener equivalent to 1/4 cup sugar
Directions
Makes 4 1-cup servings.
1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir. Let steep for 2 minutes.
2. Strain if using whole spices.
Cider can be served hot or cold. If using a mild herb tea, such as camomile, place 2 teabags in with spices and pour 4 cups boiling water over. For hot cider garnish with a cinnamon stick.
