Back before low-carb dieting became well-known, Chef Greg Pryor wrote this cookbook. This book is once again important because so many of the other low-carb cookbooks call for special products which no longer exist. This cookbook calls for only two, both of which are still available: Splenda, and our ThickenThin not/Starch thickener. Unfortunately, it has become hard to find. We recently found a small treasure trove that had been tucked away in our warehouse. We are making them available to you at a discount off its $33.95 list price.
Please note that this self-published book did not receive professional editing. For example, he calls ThickenThin not/Starch thickener "ThickenThin" because he was not aware of our other ThickenThin thickeners. Clearly he is a better chef than editor.
We also should note that we feel that a number of recipes would have been better had he known of our other products. But overall, this is a valuable addition to the low-carb cookbook shelf.
